Though traditional stone has some drawbacks, including heavy weight, difficulty to install and transportation costs, its potential use in modern architecture is limited. Its thickness is only 1-3mm, which is significantly less than traditional stones but it still provides the texture and feel of natural stone. Thus, this patented process not only has improved the aesthetics but has significantly lowered transportation and installation costs.

1. Translucent characteristics and various effects of light and shadow

This product has been processed by a special procedure to allow the natural stone to display translucence and light and shadow effects, especially when paired with LED light sources or exposed to natural light, soft light and shadow layering can be created. This is a great asset for lighting design, art installations, backdrops and many other contexts needing an atmosphere.

2. Flexibility and plasticity

Compared to traditional stone, Translucent Flexible Stone Wall Panels possess excellent levels of flexibility and can be bent and shaped to conform to various curves of structures; such as curved walls, dome ceilings etc. It has a minimum bend radius of 12 inches, and even more complex designs can be achieved using a hot air gun.

3. Variations of surface finish

Each board will retain its original texture and color of the natural stone. However, as it is natural stone, each boards color and pattern will probably vary a little and that is its uniqueness. Also, the surface of the product is the original stone surface (unpolished) which keeps the texture of the natural stone.

1. Resistant to High Temperatures

This product exceeds a high-temperature rating of 400°F (204°C) and is therefore justifiable for high-temperature use in applications such as fireplace surrounds and walls in kitchens.

2. Resistant to Water and Fire

Translucent, flexible stone wall panels also have excellent waterproof performance and can be utilised in wet applications, such as bathrooms, showers and kitchens. At the same time, the product has a very high fire rating and is acceptable for use in commercial buildings and public spaces.

3. Easy to Install and Maintain

This product is meant to be light and weighs approximately 20% of traditional stone, which makes it easy to lift and install. It can be cut and installed with ordinary tools such as circular saws and track saws; that the installation seams can be butted together with joints, grouting or metal frames; and stuck on with adhesive. The finished and seam-free product is relatively smooth, making long-term cleaning easy.
